  • The Nortel VPN Client (MHS SRA Classic) installation may require the Operating System (Windows 9x, 2000) Install CD or CABs.  Please make sure you have these available before proceeding.  Check your disk space!  You must have a least 160 MB free space on the c:\ drive in order to proceed.
  • Computers with the Intel Centrino chipset must read VPN FAQ before proceeding. Click the link above.
  • Current users who wish to retain non-MHS connections need to gather the information needed to recreate the non-MHS connection as it will be overwriten. Call InteleMed if this is a problem for you.
  • Please install/update your virus protection and Windows updates on your remote PC.

2.Download new VPN client

Click the Download button in the purple bar at the top of the page.   You will be prompted to enter the password from the NEW ACCOUNT EMAIL sent to you by MHS SRA Help Desk.  Please call InteleMed at 800 845-5769 (M-F 10a-8p) if you do not have this password.   Click the SRA Classic Client v501 link and then OK to Save this program to disk. Nortel recommends saving the file to your computer rather than running the installation program over the Internet.   Using the Save AS Window download the NortelContivityClientv501.exe file to the desktop or a temporary folder (you can move to the desktop easily in the Save AS Window by Clicking the down arrow on the right of the Save in: field and then clicking Desktop).  The download can take as little as a minute on a cable connection or up to 35 minutes on a 28.8 modem.  When the download file is complete you can proceed to step 3. Install SRA Classic v501 Client.

3.Install
SRA Classic v501 Client

The SRA Classic v501 Client will install to Windows 95 (see VPN FAQ), Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.  It is not supported on Windows 3.1, DOS, Linux, Unix or Macintosh at this time.

1. Double-click on the NortelContivityClientv501.exe file which you have downloaded from this web site.
The installation and configuration will occur and you may go right to 2., or your computer could automatically detect new hardware during the install. There is nothing wrong with your machine! Place the OS CD in the tray or point to the CABs if requested. Do not skip files during this step. Try C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System if a file cannot be found on the CD.

Click YES to all version conflicts. Your computer may or may not experience this, as many people will be running different operating systems.

2. Select the Yes, I will restart now radio button and click FINISH to restart your machine.

4. Connect to MHS SRA and Access the Physician's Society Page.

Now you are ready to use the client!

Click the new Desktop Icon labeled SRA Classic to start a session!  Enter your SRA Classic Username and  password and click on Connect.

After a few seconds you will see a banner message from MHS. Congratulations!  You have installed the new SRA Classic and are connected to the MHS SRA Classic Network Portal.    Click 'OK' to close the SRA Classic banner message.  It will reduce to the system tray (in the lower right hand corner of your screen).  If this is a new account you will be prompted to change your password.
